Parent Information
Transportation
We MUST have parents' written permission for any change in his/her regular dismissal procedure. We welcome brief notes from parents notifying us of a change for a particular day in transportation. We cannot accept verbal instruction from your child or any other person as to how he/she is to go home.
If you need to pick up your child early during the school day, please send in a note letting us know of this change. It is helpful for myself and the office staff so that we have your child ready for dismissal. Please go to the office and have the classroom paged. PLEASE do not go directly to the classroom to pick up your child. Your kind patience and understanding of these regulations is greatly appreciated. Your child's safety is important to us.
Volunteers
ALL VOLUNTEERS must have an application on file. Volunteers will have references checked. Background checks/fingerprinting will be done for parents having extended contact with students or for those that will be alone with children (including the hallway and field trips). I welcome volunteers in many different capacities throughout the year!
Lunch Money
All breakfast/lunch money should be put in a sealed envelope with your child's name, teacher's name, and lunch number on the front. All money is sent to the cafeteria each morning. Parents have the opportunity to limit the amount of snacks children can get during lunch. If you do not want your child to have extra snack or would like for them to purchase a snack on a specific day(s), please give this information to the teacher in writing so that it will be noted on your child's account.
Dress Code
For safety, children are required to wear tennis shoes on the playground and during Physical Education. Please have your child wear tennis shoes everyday or feel free to have your child keep an extra pair at school. Children are not permitted to wear Heelies to school unless the wheels have been removed.
Please review the county wide policy on dress code in the student handbook.
